About CMAT Exam For Tribhuvan University
Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) is a national-level management entrance test conducted in Nepal by Tribhuvan University. It is specifically designed for admission to Bachelor Programs in the field of Management after completing +2 in Management or Science stream. CMAT is a 90 mins  test that evaluates the candidate's abilities across various segments, including Verbal (English), Quantitative (Math), Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness. Each section consists of 25 questions, making a total of 100 objective questions in the CMAT. The test carries a total weightage of 100 marks.

Logical Reasoning:

The eligibility criteria set by Tribhuvan University for appearing in CMAT are as follows:

  • The CMAT aspirant must have completed Graduation with 45% in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • To qualify for the interview stage, candidates must score a minimum of 40% in CMAT. There is no age limit or minimum cutoff marks eligibility for CMAT.

Some Points you must know before appearing CMAT Exam in Nepal:

  • It is important to note that for BBS (Bachelors in Business Studies), CMAT is not required.
  • When filling the CMAT application form, it is not necessary to do so from the college where you completed your +2 education. You can choose any college to fill the form and appear for the exam as a student of that college.
  • There are various institutions and colleges that offer preparation classes for CMAT. Some colleges even provide free preparation classes. Interested candidates can contact these institutions and join the classes.
  • Only the short-listed candidates from the written test of CMAT will be eligible for an interview. The results will be published based on merit. If the candidates pass the interview, they will be eligible for admission.
  • It is worth mentioning that TU Constituent Colleges (Government Colleges) provide admission to applicants based on the merit of CMAT results. However, Affiliated Colleges (Private Colleges) may have their own admission criteria.
  • Therefore, it is advisable to thoroughly understand and meet the qualification criteria and guidelines set by Tribhuvan University before applying for CMAT and preparing for the exam.
